Tech Tip – Hotsheet Expiration Date

With the latest MLS hotsheet update, we made changes to the time frame in which hotsheets are delivered by the MLS email system. Hotsheets are now required to have an expiration date when they are created and all hotsheets created prior to May 29, 2018 have been set to expire a year from that date, on May 29, 2019. If you would like to extend the date of any of your hotsheets, you can do so at any time by following the steps below. Note that in the future, the system will use a notification feature to let you know that your hotsheet will be soon expiring.

These changes were made to ensure that only hotsheets that are still relevant to UtahRealEstate.com users are sent. When hotsheets become outdated or are no longer wanted, often times they are marked as spam by your clients or blocked.

Recent updates to government regulations, as well as the Can-Spam email laws, have strict rules about how and when emails are delivered. If a real estate professional or the MLS do not conform to these rules, emails can be automatically marked as spam or all emails can be blocked from distribution. We don’t want that to happen to you or to us.
